The Sarjapur Blues Band: Featuring Shekhar Sheshadri on guitar/vocals, Vinoo Mathew (River, The Rex Rozario Quartet) on guitar, and Soumitro on bass.
The Sarjapur Blues Band is perhaps the city’s most interesting blues/experimental outfit. The band performs mostly original material, experimenting with Indian percussion, Carnatic rhythms, and an interesting set of themes. With Shekhar’s classical training and Vinoo’s unique style, The Sarjapur Blues Band is a distinctive, riveting act.
