We all know about IPv4 and IPv6. But that doesn’t lead us to think about previous versions.
There were versions like
TCPv1
TCPv2
Later it was split into TCP and IP in 1978 as TCPv3 and IPv3
Finally we arrived at TCP v4 and IPv4
