Raymond’s - The Complete man

August 10th, 2008 | by A T M |

Me and my brother were talking other day.  Topic was What should an individual possess to make a decent, comfortable, meaningful and fuller living in today’s times. In other words, it’s like that ad punch line.  What makes the Raymond’s - The Complete Man

My list reads like this.

- Savings bank Account, Credit card, Passport,Driving license,Pan card
[ The absolute essentials ]

- A broadband connection, Laptop and mobile phone
[ To be anywhere, anytime ]

- Taste for books, music, good movies and travel
[ To taint your brain ]

- An IT Job
[ Need not necessarily be an IT job, but something cushy ]

- Yoga skills
[ For a refreshing mind-body-soul ]

- gmail account
[ Should I say more ]

Notice it’s not about BMW, 30X40 etc
It’s not about luxury. It’s about those little things which makes one feel good by having it.

What’s on your list ?

Free publicity man. But let’s appreciate the power of Raymond’s advertising idea of complete man. Good for the brand.

I dont know how I passed MBA without mugging up Moslow’s theory of human wants and the motivation that gets a man to need more… its starts with food water clothes and moves up to ego and self actualisation needs.

my take on the absolute essentials are below:

    1) Money. ( Forms of currency / credit cards / rich dad or working wife)

    2) Companionship : ( Forms of Family / like-minded Friends / Internet / peers )

    3) Self-Content ( Feeling HAPPY that you have more than others who are not as lucky as you are in terms of health and spending power.. instead of feeling SAD looking at people richer than you)
