This two minute video was done by Revathi, Pradeep and me two years ago for our office annual day. Our office was still small and just handful of colleagues. Now we have moved on to a bigger facility and there are countless unfamiliar faces.
This video was lying somewhere in youtube with bare 19 views. Watch the video with the music score.
It had been a culturally inactive year. Thanks to the program I was working on at office. There was abosultely no time for extra-curriculars. To make it up, I bought this keyboard (Yamaha-I425) a month ago. Thanks to Suresh sistla. Big influencer. Kept this news under wraps till I could really play something with the keys.
When I was just laying my hands on it, my colleagues insisted that I should perform on family day, our annual day at office. Anybody would tell you that it takes anywhere between couple of months to few years to master this keyboard. And I should be performing at a gathering like this ? I said I can’t.
They told I should atleast play Happy Bday song. But it would be quite unfair if I do that. So, how do you cut short and shrink the whole learning process and still play at a gathering ?
I logged on to youtube, and searched for piano videos . Found one. I played it few hundred times, watched finger movements and imitated religiously. That’s how it finally turned out to be. Few glitches here and there, but still a decent show I guess.
Hi Aru,
Actually you gave a good performance. It was nice to see you performing yesterday in your office family day function yesterday.Good that I attended the function yesterday evening.

Good job. Keyboard is relatively easier and a wonderful instrument. Get some basic classical notes. Play it. You’ll be amazed to see the finest differences between swaras. Happy learning.
