Ever since I bought the keyboard, I have been sniffing on musical theory material. Spotted this tiny gem of a book at Gangaram book house. Appreciating Carnatic Music by N Ravi Kiran.
My keyboard learning so far has been through Western style and notation. That makes it interesting to find out how Indian classical differs from Western at a technical level. A quick and handy read.
I miss almost all the key phrases on Worldspace Shruti channel. Hope I start making sense of all those Roopaka-Tala, Mishra-Chapu, Pallavi, Anu-Pallavi, Kalyani raga, etc.
