Mount Mitake ( Mitakesan) is an hour and a half journey from Tokyo Station. It is a Forest covered hilly region. Full of Coniferous pine trees, like you see in Ooty. I found this place when surfing for Trek places around Tokyo.
Me and a colleague wandered around this place and ended up visiting a neighbouring Mt. Hinode instead of Mount Mitake. Thanks to all-Japanese sign boards around the place.
